The eyes are a direct extension of your brain. They grow directly off of the brain. Think about that. What does that mean? Eyes have the greatest impact on the overall function of your brain.
70% of the brain is devoted to processing vision. That’s quite big.
Your eyes have muscles too. Each eye has 6 muscles called extraocular muscles. They move the eye. And just like any other muscle in your body, they need exercising and training. Just using them is not enough. Training them helps your other muscles work more efficiently.
Eyes go. Head goes. Body goes. You see something. Turn your head to focus on it. Then your body moves towards or away from it. Eyes drive the body.
Looking up excites extension (bending backward)
Looking down excites flexion (bending forward)
Looking left and right excites rotation (twisting)
This is how the eye may cause pain in the muscles that cause these actions.
