Who should attend and why?
If you have hit the wall with therapy and nothing is helping you feel better this course is for you. If you are sick and tired of feeling sick and tired this course is for you. Sometimes we miss the solution because it’ so simple and right in front of us. Other times it’s because we don’t know what we don’t know. Nobody told you to take care of your tongue…until now! You can’t change something until you become aware of it. Consider this your awareness moment.
Here are symptoms/conditions that may improve by working the tongue:
Tingling in the arms and hands
Posture and balance
Don’t get caught Chasing Pain. Stop Chasing Pain!! No system in the body ever works alone. Never gets injured alone. Never heals alone. There is no such thing as an isolated injury. There is no such thing as isolated healing. Assess and train the tongue like any other area in the body. If you miss the tongue you miss a big piece of the full body puzzle.
Why is the tongue so neglected? Because it doesn’t hurt! People rarely complain of tongue pain, yet they feel pain everywhere else. Don’t let the absence of tongue pain fool you. The tongue plays a fundamental role in whole body function. Pain only tells you there is a problem it does not tell you what or where it is.
Really cool things about your tongue:
The tongue fascia connects to the sternocleidomastoid muscle and the the musculature acting on the thoracic outlet. (That means neck pain, poor lymph and blood flow may result with tongue tightness). The tongue also connects to the foot via fascia (Deep Front Line)
The tongue is considered a pressure diaphragm that controls breathing, fluid motion, and postural stability.
Tongue position influences the whole body by influencing the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system. One position activates the parasympathetic more. That is the stress response!
Lower limb strength is linked to tongue position
The tongue has a massive sensory and motor representation in the brain which means it can significantly impact pain and movement.

Hands on manual mobilization of the tongue. The tongue gets tight and restricted like any other tissue in the body

How the tongue relates to the Stress Response
